Cameron Appraisal District is responsible for appraising property for the purpose of ad valorem property tax assessment on behalf of the local governing bodies in Cameron County

We are dedicated to serving the citizens of this community in an equal, uniform, and respectful manner ensuring that property taxation in Cameron County is fair and equal.

Our duties include establishing and maintaining accurate property values for all real estate and commercial property.

The Cameron County Emergency Communication Distict only provides addresses (address letters) to any rural property (outside city limits), City of Primera and City of Combes. They are located at 501 Camelot Drive, Harlingen, Texas 78550 and may be reached at (866) 286-8777.
For properties that fall within the city limits, please contact the corresponding city or school district for assistance.

Make ownership changes without a document proving ownership
A recorded deed or Vol. & Page will be needed.
For Mobile Homes, a SOL (Statement of Ownership and Location) or certificate of title will be required.
Combine mobile home accounts with the land account without proper documentation
An SOL will be needed for combinations. The mobile home must be declared as real estate and NOT personal property.
